Women's Training: What Actually Changes

The training principles do not change by gender. The context around them sometimes does.

Lift heavy. Muscle is built through progressive overload regardless of gender. The hormonal profile that produces extreme size is not present, so the fear is misplaced.

Prioritise lower body and pulling. Most programs under-train the posterior chain. Hinges, rows and hip abduction work pay off disproportionately.

Train through the month, adjust intensity. Energy fluctuates. Keep the sessions, scale the load on the harder days rather than skipping.

Eat enough. Chronic under-eating is the most common reason progress stalls. Protein and total calories both matter.

Recovery is training. Sleep and rest days are when adaptation happens.
