How to Stay Consistent When Motivation Runs Out

Everyone can train when they feel like it. The whole game is what you do in the weeks you do not.

Lower the bar for a bad day. Decide in advance what your minimum session looks like — twenty minutes, three exercises. A minimum session keeps the streak alive, and streaks are what build identity.

Train the same days each week. Decision-making is the tax. When Monday, Wednesday and Friday are non-negotiable, you stop spending energy deciding.

Track something. A log, a calendar, a habit grid. Visible evidence of work done is the cheapest motivation available.

Do not restart from zero. Missing a week is not failure, it is a missed week. Pick the plan back up on the day you return, not from day one.

Attach it to something fixed. Right after work. Right after school drop-off. Habits stick to anchors, not to intentions.
